Another year has dawned
In this human endeavor
As I reflect on the past year
And look forward to the new
My hopes, dreams, and aspirations
Remain as clear as ever

The sands of time
Keep trickling away
But the blockades and obstacles
Barriers and distractors
Are still lingering on
Many more than ever before

The true leader in me
Must not succumb
In this journey
