Uhuru Kenyatta will go down in Kenyan history, as the president under whose watch Kenya lost trillions of public funds. As the president with an unquenchable thirst for loans, most of which ended up in corruption, his regime falled short of expectation. During his reign as president, Kenya was swept by endless corruption scandals touching almost every sector of the economy.
Cartels saw loopholes in his administration to swindle public funds, with little being done to curtail this menace. Corrupt government officials and public servants enjoyed ‘security of tenure’ with connections that made them ‘untouchable’.
