African presidents are willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure that they drive armored top of the range vehicles, making a statement wherever they cruise through. This is quite understandable, due to the nature of their work and status in the country, their safety is of paramount importance. So, they will go for a vehicle that can move at high speed, tackle the terrain, very stable and secure around bends.
With all the luxury on the wheels, just for the big boss; from wine chillers, refrigerators, high-def televisions to infotainment, every bit of comfort as they move around. But that doesn’t come cheap, more so when they own several such cars. The taxpayers will have to carry that burden. After-all cars are like toys to the rich, in fact the rich who don’t use their money to buy them.
