Halloween is the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallows’ Day (also known as All Saints’ or Hallowmas) on 1 November and All Souls’ Day on 2 November, thus giving the holiday on 31st October the full name of All Hallows’ Eve (meaning the evening before All Hallows’ Day). It’s traditionally said to be the time when ghosts and witches can be seen.
On Halloween, children often dress up as ghosts and witches. Halloween is not just for the kids. Though as people age eventually, they outgrow the trick-or-treating days, that doesn’t mean they have to put the holiday behind them entirely. In fact, there may be even more to do on this day as an adult.
Some of the amazing things to do on Halloween, include:
- Watch horror movies.
- Put yourself into a sugar coma.
- Attend Halloween costume party, or host one.
- Carve pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns.
- Light bonfires.
