Tyler Perry (born Emmitt Perry Jr.) is an American actor, writer, producer, comedian, and director. He is best known for creating and performing the Madea character, a tough elderly black woman. He has also had great success with stage plays and several television series such as Tyler Perry’s House Of Payne.
